Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding

To celebrate the creation of Breaking Borders, the team decided the perfect piece to showcase the marriage of cultures was the hit comedy Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding.

Tony N’ Tina’s ran in New York City for over 15 years and continues to run all over the US and the world. In Tony N’ Tina’s the audience is transported to a big Italian wedding, but as I’m sure you could guess, things quickly fly off the handle! For being a show so celebratory of Italy and Italian culture, the show had never been done in Italy or even in Italian, we decided this was serendipitous and had to make it happen. Our production played three SOLD OUT shows in the heart of Tuscany, with demand for more. Along with Tony and Janine, Breaking Borders flew out 7 NYC professionals to join the cast and creative team joining Denny and students from his school Musical Times Academy. This combination of languages and performers created something truly magical.
